This is a great and weird split that looks fabulous on everyone, regardless of whether your splits are the jam or not. This is a fake split!
Major tips:
- The hardest part is remembering which leg will become the front leg. With the first two entry options, your free leg will become your front leg. In the third, you will switch your front split legs entirely.
- Keep your hands wide enough for your hips to come through - otherwise, you’ll get stuck.
- Lifting your chest and head will lift the front leg - this will make your split as horizontal as possible.
- Squeeze your glutes and hamstring on the back leg to lift into the shape.
- Hyperextended folks - mind your elbows. Make sure you aren’t pressing your legs into your elbows!
