Crossover Transition Through Straddle to Single Hip Hang

Hey Parish Friends. Brit here!

I wanted to take you through some progressions and drills for this transition to single hip hang. The first crossover transition (AKA Kitty Cat) is a great skill to have for making half directional turns, switching what leg is on the hoop or just adding a bit a pizazz.  If you find yourself creating a phrase and end up landing on your less than desirable side, this is a slithery skill that adds something visually pleasing on its own and also serves a purpose. WOOP!  Plus, it can lead to many other places.

In this tutorial I’m showing you how to transition all the way to a hip hang. As always, there are many ways to achieve the thing. Give all the variations a try and see what feels best in your body. Pssst. Do both sides.
